Dr. Jones is a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. His research interests revolve around questions of state-society relations, governance, political economy, sovereignty and intervention. His area of expertise is the Asia-Pacific, especially Southeast Asia. Lee is author of ASEAN, Sovereignty and Intervention in Southeast Asia (2012) and many scholarly articles. He has also advised government agencies and civil society groups from a wide range of countries including Australia, Britain, Denmark, France, Myanmar and Timor-Leste.
