On a cold winter's night in November 1905, The Tsar and Tsarina of Russia, Nicholas II and Alexandra Feodorovna welcomed a visitor into their home - a man of god, a tall, striking figure who had been causing quite a stir amongst the upper echelons of Russian society.

That man was Rasputin.

From that uneventful first meeting in November began the incredible rise of one of the most enigmatic figures of the 20th century - a figure that would become known the world over and would inadvertently help bring down an empire.
