He is one of the world’s leading experts on the Titanic and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of every nut and bolt secured in place in Belfast, and every moment of its terrifying submersion in the freezing waters of the Atlantic. Tim has recently chatted to me for our latest History Hit TV documentary, and his way of speaking was just so gripping that I had to invited him back to record a podcast. In this episode, Tim took me through every stage of this momentous event, from why this 'unsinkable' ship did indeed sink, to haunting eye witness accounts of the final minutes of that fatal maiden voyage.
