What was it actually like to fight in a medieval battle?
Luke Tomes travels to the Battle of Evesham Festival to take part in a live reenactment of the battle that took place in Worcestershire in 1265. All soldiers have been told to show Luke no mercy, as he dons his chainmail and helmet with Go Pros attached.
As part of his experience, Luke is joined by medieval historian Matt Lewis, who talks him through the real events that took place during the Second Barons War over 750 years ago, including some unbelievable anecdotes involving the King (Henry III), Simon De Montfort (the rebel leader of baronial forces) and the King's son, Prince Edward (later known as 'Longshanks', Hammer of the Scots).
