History is located all around us. From the houses we live in to the town halls in our cities to the fields of our rural communities; from Colchester to Harare; history can be found in everything. This talk looks at how intrinsic sites and landscapes are in our everyday lives but also what histories exactly survive. We will explore how histories are stored in these sites, and how they are used by towns, nations and individuals.
Looking at three themes, this talk will show that sites can tell, a political, a sellable, a personal history or perhaps even all three!
