Hello all. I am reaching out to the community because I am getting no help from the support team @ History Hit.

I resubscribed in July, 2024, but since then, my podcast feed includes adverts. No matter what alternative podcast feeds the support send me, it continues to include adverts.

I'm now so fed up I'm thinking of cancelling the subscription.

Is this just happening to me?

Heya Sebastian - thanks for writing in. So sometimes the player of your choice (Apple podcasts, Pocketcasts etc) gets mixed up with the ad-free feed and the ad supported feed.

To troubleshoot this, could you try to unsubscribe from ALL feeds in your podcast player. Then, only import your ad-free feed.

Whilst you do this, I will check your feeds for any bugs or issues.

It didn't work. My podcast continues to include adverts.

I re-subscribed to History Hit on July 7th 2024.

In my "Manage Subscription" page, it clearly shows that my subscription renews again on the 7th July 2025 (next year).

However, when I go to https://access.historyhit.com/settings/manage/billing the page tells me:
"Your subscription was cancelled. Cancelled on 6/21/24."

There is clearly a conflict with your database. I have paid a renewal on July 7th but your database seems to think my subscription is cancelled.

I’ve filled in the form to add another HH podcast and never get the email link. Also, I can log in to access.historyhit but when I try to log in to HH to request the link I get an incorrect password error. If I try to reset, I never get the link to do that either. This is beyond frustrating.

I am having exactly the same problem. Subscription shows as current in my account but I can no longer access ad free versions of the podcasts to which I have subscribed. When I fill in 'the form' I never receive the links. Very frustrating and feel I have totally wasted my money. Won't be renewing next year unless this is sorted very soon

SAME problem.
Can’t access the dashboard - it tells me to choose a subscription as tho I haven’t paid - I have.
‘Customer Supoort’ keep telling me it’s APPLES fault - it’s not.
I can’t get ad free podcasts on ANY streaming service BECAUSE the web page login isn’t recognising my subscription WHICH WAS TAKEN OUT VIA APPLE - but APPLE only deal with BILLING not content or providing services.
I can’t access HH Dashboard when I logon to HH website - how is that Apple’s fault.
Almost a month has passed and this is the only response I get.
APPLE SUPPORT say it’s nothing to do with us it’s HH they are service providers NOT US.
MY CONTRACT is with HH NOT Apple.
THEY PROMISED ME AD FREE PODCASTS IF I SUBSCRIBED - they haven’t- AND NOW THEY ARE TRYING TO BLAME OTHER COMPANIES RATHER THAN SORT THE ISSUE OUT.
THIS IS BREACH OF CONTRACT.
It’s dreadful ‘support’.
STOP TRYING TO PALM YOUR CUSTOMERS OFF WITH NONSENSE AND SORT THIS ISSUE OUT OR REIMBURSE THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES.
