Join Dan Snow and a hand picked team of experts for a thought-provoking panel discussion that delves into one of the most consequential diplomatic agreements of the 20th century: the Treaty of Versailles.
Representing Woodrow Wilson and America is Historian Alexandra Churchill, taking the perspective of The UK and David Lloyd George is Professor Heather Jones and finally, filling the shoes of the Prime Minister of France Georges Clemenceau is Professor Peter Jackson.
Hosted by Dan Snow, the show explores key questions: Was the treaty a genuine attempt at lasting peace or a punitive miscalculation? How did its terms shape the political and economic instability of interwar Europe? And could a different diplomatic approach have altered the course of history?
Featuring archival footage, expert insights, and spirited debate, this panel show offers viewers a fresh perspective on a century-old agreement that still echoes in modern geopolitics.
Whether you're a history enthusiast or new to the topic, "The Room Where It Happened: The Treaty of Versailles" promises to challenge assumptions and ignite conversation.
