Dan begins in Luxor, heading to one of the world's greatest historical sites: the Valley of the Kings. He then comes face to face with a camel, visits the spectacular Karnak Temple, and boards a luxurious boat.

Dan heads to the beautiful city of Aswan aboard the SS Sudan, before visiting the temples of Philae and Abu Simbel, tasting Nubian cuisine, and visiting a livestock market where he tries to buy a camel.

Dan Snow's epic adventure ends in Cairo, where he explores centuries-old markets, the claustrophobic ancient tunnels and passageways of the Great Pyramids of Giza, and tastes Egypt's beloved national dish, Koshari.
